Mizuna, also known as Japanese Mustard Greens, is similar in taste to arugula with a slightly bitter, peppery flavor. Great in salads or sauteed.
STORAGE TIPS: Wrap in a flour sack towel or paper towel and store in a breathable plastic bag in the crisper drawer of your fridge. Typically lasts 3-5 days.
MIZUNA NEW POTATOES WITH LEMON VINAIGRETTE
This is a superfast light lunch or side dish but you can also add a can of white beans (like cannellini or great northern) and serve it as a main course with a nice crusty, whole grain bread.
MIZUNA SALAD WITH APPLES, RAISINS & HONEY
I love how the sweet apples, raisins and honey blend with the slightly bitter and peppery flavors of the mizuna.
MIZUNA SALAD WITH PEA SHOOTS
Any spring green will work well in this salad. It’s hard not to get excited about spring salads with fresh peas, mint, walnuts and parmesan.
